I'll keep this as simple as possible. Half Off Wine is a small, independently run newsletter and website. I don't have a legal team writing this — it's just me telling you how things work and what happens with your information.
If you sign up for the email newsletter, I collect your email address. That's it. I don't ask for your name, phone number, address, or anything else. If you use the contact form, I'll have whatever you choose to share there — your name, email, and message.
I don't collect payment information. Half Off Wine doesn't sell wine — you buy directly from the retailers. I never see your credit card, shipping address, or purchase history. I also don't run any account system, so there's no password to worry about.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I'll send you wine deals. That's the only reason I have your email. I won't sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and if you click it, you're off the list immediately. No hoops, no “are you sure?” guilt trips.
The site uses basic analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they look at. This helps me know what's working and what's not. I may also use cookies related to affiliate links — when you click through to a retailer, a cookie helps attribute the referral so I can earn a commission. This is standard practice for affiliate sites and doesn't change the price you pay.
Some of the deal links in the newsletter and on this site are affiliate links. That means if you click through and buy something, I may earn a small commission from the retailer. This is how the newsletter stays free. It doesn't cost you anything extra, and it doesn't influence which deals I pick or recommend.
The site is hosted on Vercel. Email newsletters are managed through Beehiiv. Analytics may be provided by Google Analytics or a similar service. Each of these services has their own privacy policy, and I'd encourage you to review them if you're curious. I've chosen services that I trust and that handle data responsibly.
You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase alcohol in the United States. While Half Off Wine doesn't sell alcohol directly, the retailers we link to will verify your age at the time of purchase. This site is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age.
If anything changes about how I handle your information, I'll update this page. For a site this simple, I don't expect major changes — but transparency matters, so the date at the top will always reflect the last update.
